If an organization desires to grow, there’s much to consider.
Under review would be structure, systems, processes, priorities, revenue models, quality, supply chain, industry influences, and more.
It’s easy to get tangled up in complexity, but by simplifying and focusing, there is a path to growth.
Consider two questions, and you may begin to straighten things out…
Number one: What is the one problem you solve?
It should:
- hold value
- be repeatable
- exercise what you’re good at
- fuel your passion
Number two: Who do you do it for?
They should:
- be an identifiable group
- find value in your solution
- respond and participate in your solution
- fuel your passion
Brands that can answer those two questions, and stick by their answers long term, are much more likely to thrive.
Focus, perseverance, and discipline build an equitable and reputable brand.
Veering off course, on the other hand, risks dilution of purpose and confusion for staff and external audiences.
Define the problem you solve.
Describe the audience you do it for.
Repeat.
